When I first contacted NeuroPhysio Scotland, I spoke with Romana, who was very friendly, informative and couldn’t have been more helpful. She promptly arranged an appointment with Kenny, for me to trial the ALFESS device.
Kenny’s expert knowledge, advice and empathetic approach helped me to make an informed choice on the right FES device to meet my needs.
I’m so grateful for your support before and after receiving my FES device. I’m feeling very optimistic about improving my mobility and rebuilding my strength and confidence when walking.
Being able to join my family and friends on walks again, improved wellbeing and exercising outdoors for longer is so important to me in helping to manage daily life with MS.
NeuroPhysio Scotland have supported me to do exactly that and I’m so grateful!
Thank you so much for your care, compassion and professionalism from start to finish.

My brother has a brain tumor and then had a stroke. Cassie has been working with him and has done miracles! He could barely move and he had no core strength so he could not sit up. She has worked with him weekly, using patience, hard work and humor. She has a positive outlook and is great at encouraging my brother when he did not want to try his exercises.
He is now walking with a quad stick and using stairs with her help. There is such an improvement in his well being. Cassie- thank you…. you really make a difference!

We have had an incredible experience with Kenny Thoms as Farukh’s physiotherapist. Kenny’s expertise, patience, and personalized approach have made a significant difference in Farukh’s progress. He always takes the time to understand Farukh’s needs and ensures that each session is not only effective but also enjoyable.
Kenny’s communication is excellent—he keeps us informed and reassured every step of the way, and his genuine care and encouragement have been a source of great motivation. It’s clear that he is deeply committed to his work and the well-being of his clients.
We are truly grateful for all the support Kenny has provided and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of outstanding physiotherapy care.

A wonderful neuro physiotherapist company to deal with, professional knowledgeable and get results,I'm 2 years post stroke so booked a session with Neuro physio Scotland to get my walking better, every session iv had so far and iv had 4 now has been incredible for my strength and balance, confidence in walking, did exercises on my 2nd session that I thought I would never be able to achieve again, Cassie is my physiotherapist ( co owner) is focused, hugely inspiring, loves her job and her encouragement makes you push yourself, ,my balance in walking is better now as she encourages you to do exercises at home if you're able to, what's surprised me is that Cassie knows what I'm capable of now and that trust reassures me that I'm able to do it,which is a great thing for a stroke survivor... trust,
Would not consider another company as they are the best in Scotland... easy 5 star rating

First time visiting for my yearly review of FES use.
Very friendly and welcoming team in Glasgow and very prompt with sending me further details of things I enquired about during my appointment.

We met Kenny in Dec 23 following my husband’s haemorrhagic stroke the previous March. The effects were life-changing, leaving him completely paralysed down his right side, and unable to speak.
Willie spent 19 weeks in hospital and, living in the Outer Hebrides, we were limited with alternative treatments following discharge from short-term NHS outpatient appointments.
We were alerted to NeuroPyhsio Scotland by a mother who’s 34 year old son had had a similar brain injury following a stroke 4 years previous. Thankfully he made remarkable progress thanks to NeuroPhysio Scotland. This was exactly what we were looking for.
Kenny has helped Willie’s confidence and motivates him, giving sound advice which has helped Willie to regain some movement and improve upon some flickers already there. After each appointment, we receive a comprehensive report detailing progress, barriers, difficulties etc. He also provides a personal training plan, setting targets within specific deadlines. He pushes Willie out of his comfort zone, but never going further than he knows Willie is capable of.
Kenny is at the other end of an email/telephone call, when advice is needed. He also advised our GP that Willie may qualify for NHS funding to access further treatment for use of a FES for his lower limb, and this was successful.
Given additional costs of travelling to and from the island to attend appointments, unfortunately, we’re unable to see Kenny as often as we’d like, however, NeuroPhysio Scotland have always been very accommodating to fit our appointments around our travel arrangements which has been most helpful.
I cannot recommend NeuroPhysio Scotland enough, especially for those motivated and unable to access limited availability of treatment through the NHS, or as supplementary treatment to run alongside methods. O

If we were able to give Katey more than 5 stars we would!
Katey has been working with me following a catastrophic stroke just over 2 years ago. Katey is enthusiastic, empathetic and kind. She thinks outside the box and is very creative and innovative in her approach to neuro physio. Katey never gives up on me and in turn that really helps to keep me motivated. I can’t imagine working with anyone other than Katey and so can’t recommend her highly enough!
Katey, you are the best!

Something happened to me & I have to learn to walk again. Katey McPherson is my physio. Katey helps me with exercises, massage, aids, techniques, tips & superb wee videos if I can’t get my head around something. My recovery has increased tenfold since she arrived. Katey is professional & kind, she’s compassionate & driven, all sprinkled with a much needed & fabulous sense of humour. Not only does she do this, she also helps me so much with how I feel about myself & my life just now. Katey came into my life at my most vulnerable time & she makes me feel like I’m a worthy person again. She makes me see glimpses of the person I used to be that’s still inside. Katey makes me feel better. Everyone should have a Katey in their life. Can you clone her please & give me one to keep?! Thank you Katey x

We went to Neurophysio on the strong recommendation of a friend and I can’t speak highly enough of my sessions with Cassie Thoms. She’s helped me through some difficult times following a stroke. She is always trying to stretch me to do more, but in a good humoured way and by creating a safe and reassuring environment to practise in. Great empathy, good advice and clearly an expert and very knowledgeable in her field. My sessions with her are great fun and have done wonders for my morale. She always leaves me feeling much more positive about my progress and potential. Very highly recommended.

Five-Star Service from NeuroPhysio Scotland. My wife had a trial of the 'Mollii Suit.' The staff were excellent during the assessment, we then had a trial at home and subsequently purchased a Mollii suit which we would thoroughly recommend. Although it does not cure anything, my wife has improved mobility, reduced pain and quicker recovery from episodes. If you are in doubt, arrange an assessment, you will not regret it.

We live in Glasgow. Tracey began working with my wife when she returned home from hospital in May after having suffered a brain haemorrhage. As a result my wife’s muscles have contracted and are very stiff and tight. Tracey has worked hard to increase her range of movement and improve her sitting balance and there has been great progress. Tracey is always so supportive and positive when she visits and everything she suggests makes perfect sense. We have been extremely lucky to have found Tracey and NeuroPhysio Scotland.

I have had the pleasure of being a client of Nicola Nairn, Neuro physiotherapist who is based in the Glasgow office. Nicola is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I have secondary progressive multiple sclerosis and rely on my wheelchair. During the time I have worked with Nicola she has understood the nature of my condition and has worked with me to develop exercises most appropriate for my needs. These have helped me achieve my goals. This has improved my fitness and confidence in my ability to perform these exercises.

I have various conditions affecting my physical and mental health. My main condition is lupus. In 2023, I had a lot of bad falls. My mobility steadily got worse to the point that my rhumeytogist consultant referred me to othortics. They fitted me with a calliper as I had dropped foot and found I could longer drive. I made an appointment and Cassie came to my house. I was so scared to go out as it was winter. I was too afraid to leave the house, even to go to the bin, alone. When Cassie first saw me, I was using a two-wheeled walker around the house. I was struggling to walk even with it, especially my right leg, which was stiff, ridged, and heavy. Cassie listened to my medical history and the many different clinics I attend for each condition. I showed Cassie the calliper that I was told to wear at all times, only taking it off when going to bed. By this time, the calliper was too big and making walking in it even more difficult. Cassie informed me how the calliper holds the affected joint in place but also stops me from using this and other joints and muscle groups in this leg. This was hindering my lupus condition. I was delighted when Cassie said she could help but managed my expectations as my joints and muscles were tight as they had not been worked in years. Firstly she gave me an excerises in bed. This progressed to strengthening exercises in my legs, core, arms, and neck. I now no longer walk with the calliper. I have my own chosen shoes on, that fit! I have got my confidence up outside so much as to have to remind my friends that I will manage on my own. The difference Cassie has made by gradually increasing my exercises when my muscle groups get stronger is truly amazing. I am now walking without using my "good leg" to compensate for my "bad leg," helping relieve pressure on my back and hip joints. I can not rate this company enough, from the lovely assistant that answered my call with my first enquiry. She listened to my concerns and how this impacted my bodies limitations on my daily life. From walking, showering, dressing, preparing meals to socialising. She and then Cassie really listened to me as a person, not a person with a disability which was refreshing. I have continued my monthly sessions with Cassie. My Rhumeytogist is amazed and delighted with my progress and asked me to thank Cassie for her excellent work. This has been said by my GP and practice nurse to. More importantly for me, my friend see the old confident "me" coming back into their life. From going from house bound to outbound in a matter of months has been a miracle in my eyes. I could feel my world getting smaller and smaller. I can not recommend this company enough. Go on, give it a try to see what they can do for you!

I have a unique neurological condition that means I have to learn to walk again. Ginny has been most patient with me and now that I have had an issue with my endocrine system effectively treated, with the help of Ginny's expertise, I am making progress each week. Ginny has been patient, supportive and kind to myself, to my family and even to the carers. I cannot recommend Ginny enough.
I must also add that everyone I've dealt with at Neurophysiotherapy Scotland has been fantastic to deal with.

I was referred here by another physio to help with arthritis in my hip and got in contact with Martin at the Edinburgh branch who has from the start went above and beyond to help me. I live in Broxburn West Lothian and Martin has paid regular home visits to me. I required a hip replacement and martin helped me through the whole process from before the surgery to during by helping me with hospital appointments to see my surgeon and ongoing till now. One of my main aims being a paralympic gold medal swimmer was to get back in the pool and swimming again, and only a few months after surgery I have achieved this. without Martins help I would not have been able to do this and I cant thank him enough. We have met many physiotherapists over the years but none with the depth and breadth of knowledge that Kenny has. My husband has mobility issues but after two hours with Kenny his walking has improved markedly.
I am sure that with the exercise advice and encouragement that Kenny has given him, he will continue to improve.

Tracey and the NeuroPhysio team in Glasgow have been absolutely fantastic for me. The impact of having someone like Tracey has really helped me focus more on my exercises to ensure lasting progress can be achieved. Tailor made exercise plans that are designed, and then adapted for me as i have improved, has allowed me to make sustained and meaningful development.

Tracey has had a remarkable effect on my wife Marie Brown, a seriously disabled stroke victim, over the past five years. More than just a physiotherapist, she has stimulated my wife and done a great deal for her state of mind and general wellbeing. In addition, her pleasant personality has made her a good friend. Marie says she knows that she would be in a much worse condition if it had not been for Tracey's visits.

Jen Alexander is currently doing physio with my mum after a stroke. My mum was discharged from hospital with zero movement or function on her left side. Jen has been working with my mum for a few months now and the progress my mum has made in that time is incredible, from no movement to now being able to be on her feet, aided with Jen. My mum has a renewed confidence and looks forward to every session with Jen. We as a family are so grateful for the amount of time and effort Jen puts in with our mum. We see progress every single week which makes our mum even more determined. Cannot stress enough how amazing and how fantastic Jen is as a physiotherapist. We feel like we have won the jackpot with her. She has gave us advice and continuous support and most of all looks after and works so well with our mum. We highly recommend Jen!!

have suffered from headaches for nearly 30 years following a brain stem skull fracture. I put the headaches down to multiple factors but the primary one being dehydration and tiredness.
Have seen Ginny 4 times over 6 months and they are gone !!!!!!!.
Very simple exercises which were vestibular specific and worked beyond belief. I also have had issues with balance following multiple ankle fractures and x3 reconstructions but with simple exercises my balance is also improving.
Being headache free is life changing - thanks Ginny

I have been very pleased with the vestibular rehabilitation physiotherapy care I’ve had with Ginny over the past few months.
I have been recovering from a serious accident - long hospital stay in Edinburgh with many broken bones and a brain injury. Ginny has got my balance, pain and confidence hugely improved. During the treatment I also began to suffer dizzy spells from benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPP). Ginny quickly diagnosed and treated this and showed me how to continue with the treatment to good effect.
Ginny is really excellent at teaching the necessary exercises for the various injuries and rehab. She is also such a warm and kind person who is just lovely to have looking after you. I am grateful for her care and for her help in getting me back to a state where I can exercise, enjoy walks, take part in yoga and start to get much fitter again in time. Thank you Ginny.

I recently had the pleasure of working with neuro physiotherapist Julie Jamieson and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with her skills and expertise in the field. From the very first session, it was evident that Julie had a deep understanding of neurology and its impact on the body. She took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and create a tailored treatment plan that addressed my specific needs. Her approach was holistic, incorporating both physical and cognitive exercises to improve my overall function.
What stood out to me the most about Julie was her ability to explain complex neurological concepts in a way that was easy to understand. She patiently answered all of my questions and made sure I was comfortable with each exercise before moving on to the next. Her patience, empathy, and positive attitude made each session a pleasant experience.
One thing that I really appreciated was Julie's attention to detail. She not only focused on the areas that needed the most improvement, but also paid attention to smaller muscles and movements that often get overlooked. This attention to detail made a significant difference in my progress and overall function.
Throughout my sessions with Julie, I could see a significant improvement in my mobility and balance. She pushed me to challenge myself while also being mindful of my limitations. Her encouragement and support gave me the confidence to continue working towards my goals even outside of our sessions.
Overall, I highly recommend Julie Jamieson to anyone in need of neuro physiotherapy. Her knowledge, expertise, and personalized approach make her stand out in her field. She is not only a skilled therapist, but also a compassionate and dedicated individual who truly cares about her clients. I am grateful for the progress I have made under her guidance and would not hesitate to work with her again in the future.

I contacted Neurophysio Scotland for help for my uncle after he suffered and survived a subarachnoid haemorrhage and stroke leaving him with right side paralysis, significant cognitive and severe communication impairments. His stay in the hospital rehabilitation centre was short due to slow progress but his determination was great so as a family we felt he needed further professional help just to see how far he could progress despite his severe brain injury. We were very lucky to be given an appointment with Cassie at Neurophysio Scotland who is absolutely AMAZING! She has now been travelling to my uncle’s nursing home in the south side of Glasgow for a few months to work with him. He responds really well to Cassie and absolutely loves his physio sessions with her. On meeting my uncle Cassie immediately adapted her language & communication to aid his understanding and allow him to access the work she is doing with him. She encourages him and challenges him to ensure that he is achieving his full potential and developing as much as he is able. Cassie explains things clearly to the family, always keeps us informed of my uncle’s progress through texts and calls and very kindly videos some of his sessions so we can practise with him. Cassie’s knowledge of her profession, her passion for it and her patients really shines through. She now has my uncle transferring from his wheelchair independently, balancing & standing steadier & stronger and even has him walking up and down a corridor with her moving his paralysed leg which is something we thought we would never see. Cassie has given us some light at the end of a very long tunnel and my uncle and our family cannot thank her enough.😃

I have had a diagnosis of MS from 2001. After research into the Mollii Suit I received an assessment at the NeuroPhysio centre in Edinburgh. Assessment was carried out by physios Vicki & Martin, who were lovely & professional and explained the purpose of the suit. I hired the suit for two weeks. In that time, I found the suit really helped my spasticity & leg cramps. It was collected after 2 weeks, I then decided to purchase a suit. The suit is not a magic bullet but there are gains which make my life easier & more manageable and it is exciting too see what happens. I highlu recommend NeuroPhysio Scotland to begin your journey with the Mollii Suit

We have been having private physiotherapy since the NHS community rehabilitation team completed their programme following my husband's stroke. My husband was still making progress and he hoped to improve as much as possible by continuing relevant focused exercises. He has benefited greatly from Martin's regular support and Martin has also co-ordinated with our local personal trainer. It will soon be a year since the stroke, and the continuing improvement and all the associated benefits from that would not have been possible without the private physiotherapy and encouragement that goes along with it. The administrative staff at NeuroPhysio Scotland make all the arrangements perfectly and smoothly. NeuroPhysio Scotland was also able to provide a trial of a Mollii Suit to see if it would help. Every improvement makes life a little easier and the gains accumulate.

I’m so lucky to have found Viki now that I’m out of hospital and in my new home. She has been such an inspiration! When consultants have dismissed me as a prisoner in my wheelchair, Viki has identified muscles that had been long lost and forgotten and given me the exercises in her sessions and the time between to strengthen them not only to improve my seated posture but also to stand, potentially unaided. Terrific not only for my muscles but also my bones. All this with firmness but tremendous good humour and support. I look forward to our sessions as much for the chat as the exhausting workout with results which are not only visible but empower me to reject any thoughts of being trapped and powerless. Worth any amount of money!

I've been seeing Viki for 10 months now. Throughout this time she has been ENDLESSLY positive, encouraging, supportive, patient and flexible. On top of this, she's very experienced, with a ALOT of knowledge about Neurophysiotherapy. I feel safe seeing her (important to me) and I have never felt she's just there 'to do a job': she comes across as warm, engaged, interested and genuinely wanting me to improve as much as possible. I wouldn't be where I am without her input, and I am SO very grateful for all her help to date.

18 months ago I had a motorcycle accident involving a car, which left me with spinal damage and other fractures etc, meaning I spent almost 7 months in hospital. As part of my rehab, I started seeing Martin Towey from NPS.
At the beginning, my body was stiff, sore and unable to move much of my lower limbs. Martin and I have been working together now for more than 6 months and we both agree that the changes made to me over this time have been significant.
I was unable to stand or walk for anything more than a few seconds....6 months later, this has progressed and I can now do both for longer and my posture has improved. My lower back is less stiff and more flexible, enabling me to move more freely when completing transfers in my wheelchair.
Martin has played a significant part in my rehab and recovery. I don't think I could have achieved anywhere near the results by myself or without Martin by my side.
He's always been there to help me push through a lot of the tough times and encourage me when I've been at my lowest.
NPS offer an amazing service and I really can't thank them enough.... They have enabled me to see beyond what I saw 6 months ago and look forward to a better future... Thank you ❤️

I booked Physio after finding NP through google after being discharged from hospital in a wheelchair. I was assigned Emma who was simply outstanding.
For 13 weeks Emma got me from being in crutches, not being able to navigate stairs to being myself again after failing unwell with Guillain Barre Syndrome. Emma was patient, kind, a good listener and just amazing at her job.
Her passion for fitness has let me to jointing the gym, doing PT sessions and now onto yoga and swimming.
I couldn’t walk more than 10/15 steps when I started in March and only 4 weeks ago I climbed conic hill myself unaided.
The service I was provided was excellent and Emma is a credit to her profession and to the company. I owe my mobility and new found passion for fitness and well-being to her.
Thank you

Neurophysio Scotland has been a godsend for my husband, who has Parkinson's with dystonia. The physio has been personalised to incorporate my husband's previous sports skills, using the latest research evidence and tools and the sessions are varied such that my husband is stimulated and challenged. Martin Towey has fostered a supportive, meaningful relationship with my husband - and with me - which has been more than we could have hoped for from any professional service.

I have been going to NeuroPhysio Scotland for physiotherapy for 6 years. Initially it was once a week and then fortnightly. Nicola Nairn treated me for symptoms of Parkinson's disease.
Physio classes for people with Parkinson's disease were arranged in a hall in Hyndland, Glasgow with approx 20 people attending every week. Nicola took these classes with help from others. Kenny Thoms also gave guidance and support. These classes were fantastic with everyone enjoying what they were doing. Nicola was a real support.
When "covid" struck, classes continued online via zoom but not everyone joined. Nicola is a "natural" at communication on the system and keeps an eye on us with correction and suggestions as required. She also alters the programme to suit individual needs. This is all great in the comfort of our own homes with no travelling involved! Participation can be from anywhere in the world!
We always feel better at the end of our weekly exercise sessions and also having been in touch with others in the same situation.
Thank you Nicola.

I'd highly recommend Katey at Neurophysio Scotland. Since starting my sessions with Katey my neuropathy and foot drop has improved dramatically. Its really helped with pain relief as well.
As well as having a deep knowledge of how to get the results and goals you want to achieve. She has been really supportive, kind and empathetic.

I’ve had Nicola Nairn for over two years. When I got home from hospital I was unable to use my right arm or hand. When it fell to the side in my wheelchair I had to physically lift it with my left arm. With exercises through tele hab and Nicola’s weekly visits I am now able to raise my arm up above my head and can now hold a cup or a glass in my right hand. I can also lift up coins and can use a knife to cut my food. I have learned to write with my right hand. I have also gained confidence in sitting and standing up and walking unaided around the house. All this is possible because Nicola graded the exercises to suit my ability and added other exercises when some appeared too easy. She is also a very pleasant person and I look forward to her visits. As I gained movement and confidence I see Nicola every two weeks now. If I had not found her I would be still sitting at home with a useless hand and arm.

My Mum has been having sessions with Martin Towey for a couple of months now. She has MS and her positioning and posture is challenging. Martin is doing amazing work with her and we are seeing her looking more comfortable and her posture improved. Mum is also very much enjoying the sessions, to the point where she typically falls into a restful sleep afterwards. My family and I can’t thank him enough. He is very gentle with her and has been excellent liaising with the staff at her care home- producing very useful visual guidance for them to facilitate better positioning on a day to day basis. Would fully recommend.

Have been doing some physio sessions with Kenny since my stroke. Feel like I’m listened to & getting the guidance I need to reach my goals. Would recommend their services.

Kenny has been great, with my recent diagnosis he helped me regain both my confidence and my functioning ability. He achieved this through both encouragement and challenging me to try things, that i didn’t want to do at the time, but the outcomes of theses challenges have been great so far

I’ve been working with Kenny for only two months and have already seen a vast improvement in my balance and walking. I have cerebral palsy and contacted NEUROPhysio Scotland because my condition had radically deteriorated. Thanks to Kenny’s expertise, I have already achieved goals I wondered if I would ever reach. Each session is carefully tailored to ensure consistent progression and I have continued to grow stronger and more mobile. I am very grateful to Kenny and the team at NEUROPhysio Scotland and would recommend them to everyone.

Julie is excellent. She is so encouraging and helpful. Always trying different things to help she really boosts my confidence. I continue to make progress 1 year and 4 months after my stroke.

The physiotherapist we were assigned to work with my mother (Tracey) has been outstanding. Tracey is fantastic at her job, and carries out her duties so thoroughly. The amount of effort that goes into my mother's sessions is second to none & we couldn't have asked for someone better! Tracey is always so positive and genuinely cares. We are so appreciative that we found Tracey to help improve my mother's quality of life. Highly recommended.

As a musculoskeletal physio working in Glasgow, I would highly recommend Neuro Physio Scotland as they are all passionate and highly experienced physios dedicated to reducing the disability as a result of neuro conditions. They look at the 'whole person' in a caring and empowering way, and I have always had fantastic feedback from clients who have been working with Cassie and Kenny. I wouldn't hesitate to refer to them.
